Head Shape Matters ~ Certified Bespoke Haircutting ~ Master Colorist

30 years self employed after 7 years at a full service salon

I LOVE all things healthy hair and customizing hair color and styles to each person.  I also personally understand the problems women face with thinning, fine hair as I have experienced that first hand. Just know that there are ways to help you get back to your best hair!

I started my career in 1989 at Studio 890. I'm grateful for my training, every client and every experience from growing there. While there, I felt my clients were happiest when the salon was quieter and a bit more private. So, in 1995, I ventured out to the suite life and never looked back! 

   I am blessed to have journeyed through life with amazing, loyal clients for more than 37 years while having the privilege and freedom

in my schedule to grow with new clients as well.

I love education. Researching hair trends. Understanding the physics of haircutting through Head Shape Matters, the chemistry of blonding and coloring and the importance of investing time in treatments, a balanced diet and also self care for strong, healthy hair inside and out. 

​

2022 brought 5 months of intense hair color chemistry education, mannequin heads and many, many, many tests. The blood, sweat

and even a few tears were worth it to become a Master Colorist.

​

My husband, Dan, who is in HVAC, and I love spending time traveling, doing home projects and spending time with our family.  Our oldest son, who finished active duty in the USAF and is now Air National Guard also serves in multiple areas of law enforcement. He and my beautiful daughter-in-law have given us 2 wonderful granddaughters and one grandson that we love to spend time with and are so fun and so sweet.  Our youngest is a very hardworking plumber who is so generous with his time and has a great future ahead of him. (And, yes, he needs a haircut. lol)

When I'm not in the salon you'll find me at home cooking, baking, reading, listening to music and playing piano. I love to host family and friends,  plan our next getaway, be outside, take walks, lunch with my girlfriends, see what's new at Nordstrom Rack,

Target, Home Goods, and of course, Costco.
